Old Age

Unconscious and eyes unfocused

Unknowing trust, yet all yielded.

Dear parents take charge and control.

Unknown games turn fundamental.

Youth seems so far ahead in front.

But soon it arrives to confront.

Train, order, and goals to fulfill.

Nothing’s hard, much time to kill.

Young’n savvy, I can’t keep up!

No hair, or grey “Where is my cup?”

Roads trod are not worth mentioning.

Much less proudly and with boasting.

The lives left in shambles and pain.

Much less loves left in grief and shame.

Tracks, there are, little used by few.

Quiet smiles, tender loves so pure.

Never dreamt of reaching old age.

Much less looked on by some a sage.

For this life, it’s not deserving.

God’s Just Love, and Forgiving.

Trust Him, you know now what trust is.

Infant, youth, old age - sweet He is!
