Survival of the Fittest

Only the fittest to heaven survive.

In this race for life, rules differ greatly.

Each diligent entrant victor’s crown wears.

Brute strength and violence have no room here.

Destruction and bloodshed have no place here.

Why lamb sacrifice? Appease cruel God?

No, innocents’ deaths portray graphicly,

The horrors of turning away from God.

The truth: Christ Jesus is the Lamb of God.

Pure, sin free, forgiving, burden bearer

Submits to gory death on Calvary.

‘What is truth’, you ask? “Love only shall rule”!

Penzias, Wilson found radiation.

Cosmic microwave background was the kind.

Giving legs to “Big Bang”; though God is Truth.

Non-human creatures, in peace they long live,

Across species lines, ruled only by love.

“Abnormal!” cry experts, or could it be…?

Lingering traces of creator’s works,

Shines out in peaceful and selfless living.

Shores up the faithful, thrills hopeful with joy.

God gives us life by giving us His own,

Willingly and gently, just like a lamb.

We don’t respect this, value it - much less.

The fittest forgive, live long - loving all.

Fault finding ceases but sees good in all.

United with love’s source, they’ll never fail.

Soften my calloused heart, strengthen resolve.

Servant of all must I be? Humble me.

Stay with me. Live in me. Then love I’ll be.
