Why am I troubled?

For what could happen,

Or what did happen?

Why am I fearful?

Uncertain I am,

Or sure of some harm?

Why am I lonely?

Foes are so many,

Friends aren’t aplenty.

Why am I raving?

Is anger harbored?

So, venom my word?

Why am I broken?

Can my heart forgive?

God’s love, can it live?

Why am I singing?

God has set me free.

His shalom is free!

Why am I praising?

Ahead turbulence.

Through it God gives Peace!

Accept God’s promise,

Embrace my neighbors.

In peace shall I live!
